January of 1993 I began a teaching exchange at Newcastle College of Art and Design in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. My students were in their second semester and had chosen an emphasis in photography. During my stay I photographed community events much as I had here paying attention to what would define that region. My family joined me near the end of the stay and we traveled in England, Scotland, and to Paris, France.
